During the first lockdown I started supporting the Community Food Link in Basingstoke.
This project takes the waste food from the supermarkets and distributes it to local areas. There are 6 Hubs (all churches) around Basingstoke, the Methodist Churches are supporting this by running a Hub on Thursday at St Andrews and a Hub on Friday at Oakridge.
This project has grown and we are supporting more and more people each week, but we need more help.
We require drivers to collect the food from both Marks and Spencer’s on a Wednesday and Thursday night and deliver it to St Andrews and Oakridge Church for the following day distribution, This can be done using the CFL small van or your own car (you must inform your insurer).
We also require drivers for other days both morning and evenings if that works better for you. The Christmas period is going to be particularly difficult, please help if you can.
Please contact me on 07462 040644. Thank you in advance.
