We were recently reminded in a video recorded by Tobi Stathers, from CompassionUK, that many children currently attending the Kiugu Compassion project in Kenya have been sponsored by St. Mark’s church members and friends for up to 13 years. During this time the children will have received educational and social support as well as health care and an introduction to the Christian faith.

Occasionally, however, sponsors need to end their sponsorship before the child is ready to leave the project at the age of 22, and we have a young man whose sponsors have faithfully supported him since he was a child but who now needs a new sponsor to help him complete his education and vocational training during his final five years at the Kiugu project. If you would like to know more about what would be involved, please speak to Sue or Will Hooper or contact us through the Church Office.
