The continued restrictions mean that my ordination service on 4th July will be much quieter than normal.
Each person to be ordained Deacon this year has been issued with a limited number of seats. However, the service will be live streamed on the Winchester Cathedral website and their Facebook page. We are planning to live stream this at Church should you wish to see this together. If you would like to attend you will be able to book in via our website or by phoning the parish office. The service starts at 12.30pm and will last for about 1½ hours.
We have also planned to hold a Celebration Afternoon tea at 4pm and again at 5pm following the ordination service. If you would like to attend this, could you please let Kim know via the Parish Office which slot your prefer and any dietary needs you have. We will only be able to have a maximum of 30 guests at each slot. Please do let me know by Sunday 27th June if you would like to attend.
Finally I would like to thank you for all the support, prayers and encouragement you have given me over the last 5 years, firstly as I trained as an LLM and then more recently during my ordination training. You have all been wonderful!
If you have been thinking of giving towards Kim’s ordination gift from the church but haven’t quite got round to it yet, please could you do so by Sunday 27th June.
I’m sure that Kim will be delighted to show us her newly designed stoles once she is able to wear them!
