At Baptism, promises are made on behalf of an individual, but at Confirmation, you make a personal commitment to continue your journey of faith within the church and confirming that you will follow Jesus Christ.

At a Confirmation service (which may be held at your local church or at a cathedral), the bishop lays hands on you, says a special pray and friends, family and your local church community promise to support and pray for you. There’s usually a celebration as well.

You can find more information about Confirmation on the Church of England website.

St Mark’s runs individualised courses for anyone considering confirmation. Please don’t hesitate to contact us here or phone us on 01256 840502 if you would like to find out more.
